“Rockaway! My home away from home! My whole life I have gone to the town of Rockaway and I was so happy when my parents bought shares at Rockaway Beach Resort many years ago. I took my kids and they grew up building sandcastles, flying kites, riding the train, swimming in the pool, playing in the rec room, looking at tide pools during low tide, running down the sand dunes at Barview, and going to the Tillamook Cheese Factory. Of course, there is plenty of beach to walk in that seven mile stretch too and so much more!!! Did I mention the sunsets are absolutely amazing but watching the intense winter storms crashing on the riprap while safe and warm in the room is enjoyable too. In just over a week, all my grown kids, their spouses and all my grandchildren will be spending time at RBR. I think my kids are even more excited than the littles to introduce them to Rockaway Beach. My daughter told her son today, “We might not do everything this time but don’t worry—we will go back many times.”
