The Latest News on Rockaway Beach Resort

  • Event Planner Resources

    August 27, 2024

This blog is now a part of our updated web site which adds additional support for event/conference planners.  You will find detail on our meeting facilities and broad event service relationships, along with a web inquiry form that you can use to provide us with key information for proposals/quotes.  Emma or Leslie from our sales team will work directly with you to design the perfect meeting experience centered on the North Coast region between Cannon Beach and Pacific City.

  • Business Events Preparation

    July 1, 2024

The resort continues to prepare for business events. We have reorganized our front office operations into a true Guest Services department responsible for the entire guest/event lifecycle and appointed Deborah Carson to lead the charge. Deborah is broadly experienced creating superior service delivery processes. Additionally, our beloved General Manager Angie Vandercreek finally retired after four years of service that included leading much of our transition from HOA to commercial resort. She will be replaced in the near term by our proprietor James Coke.

  • Rockaway Beach Travelogue

    June 28, 2024

Despite its beauty, the north Tillamook County coastline does not get as much media coverage as its better known cousins north and south. So it is nice to see a piece like this one written by Jamie Hale of the Oregonian who was an unknown guest at our resort while profiling Rockaway Beach.

  • Our Facilities are Now Upgraded

    June 1, 2024

We have completed this year’s facility face-lift just in time for the busy season. Some of the upgrades include new pet rooms, event facility renovation, refreshed paint job, and numerous additional smaller improvements. We are proud of our maintenance and housekeeping staff who learned new trades to help complete much of the work internally.  Go team!

  • New Ownership for Rockaway Beach Resort

    January 1, 2024

Tillamara, Inc. formally took ownership of the resort at the start of the year. Nearly all the stockholders are former HOA owners who elected to continue their relationship with the resort. The resort is establishing a variety of local partnerships that will allow us to provide customers with customized vacation and event experiences.

Coastal Expectations

  • You will find our coastal towns and venues relaxed and friendly. Our pace of life makes more time for casual conversation and relationship.
  • We do not allow smoking of any kind on the property, including vaping and marijuana. That keeps our common and living areas fresh and clean for other guests. We also maintain quiet hours from 10pm to 8am.
  • Please include your pets as part of your reservation request so we can direct you to our dog-friendly rooms. Note that there is a nightly pet surcharge.
  • For our guests with mobility needs we ask you to please call ahead to reserve a ground floor room and ADA parking. We do not have elevators so these guests will need to use a stairway lift chair to access the second floor event facility (available as of January 2025).
  • Our property is kept clean and sanitary as you would expect. But be aware that the buildings are older and many of the rooms still have dated décor and some beachside wear and tear. We are continually working to enhance & upgrade our resort.
